AIR FORCE CARRIES OUT MEDICAL OUTREACH IN ENUGU COMMUNITY

Over five hundred residents of Ohom Orba Community, Udenu Local Area of Enugu State have benefited from a free medical outreach organized by the Nigerian Air Force, Enugu Command.

This is part of activities to mark Nigerian Air Force Day 2022 celebration.

The Air Officer Commanding, Ground Training Command, Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Ibukunle Oladayo Daramola, explained that the gesture was part of the Command’s corporate social responsibility.

Air Vice Marshal Daramola, who was representing by the Chief of Staff of the Command, Air Vice Marshal Michael Nnaya Onyebashi, noted Nigerian Air Force was embarking on this exercise to further strengthen security in the area to enhance civil-military relations between Air Force and the host community.

Air Vice Marshal Daramola urged residents to volunteer useful information to the force in order to curb insecurity.

Responding, the Traditional Ruler of Ohom Orba Community, Igwe Everestus Uchenna Onah, commended the Nigerian Air for the exercise and urged the people to take part in the medical outreach.

Some of the beneficiaries commended Nigerian Air Force for the gesture, promising to continue to collaborate with the force to maintain peace in the area.

Our correspondent reports that the medicare services included free consultation and treatment, free dental checks and treatment, free eye checks and free distribution of insecticide treated nets.
