The Abia State Government says it has uncovered plots by yet to be identified hoodlums to attack some key locations within the state soon.

In a statement issued in Umuahia by the Commissioner for information, Chief John okeyi Kalu, security agencies in the state had been fully mobilized and placed on high alert to thwart the planned attack and bring those concerned to justice.

It advised members of the public to be extra vigilant and ensure they were at home before the curfew hours of 8pm to 6am as well as monitor the activities of their neighbours.

According to the statement, parents and guardians have been enjoined to ensure that their children and wards were secure at home and not in anyway associated with the hoodlums, some of whom were said to be coming from outside the state.

The statement noted that law abiding citizens were encouraged to go about their normal duties but to ensure they returned home before 6pm to avoid the rush associated with movement before the onset of curfew time.

The statement also noted with confidence that the security architecture within the state was robust enough to prevent the planned attack.

It stated that the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu would not spare any resource in ensuring the protection of law abiding citizens.
