Reporter : LAWRENCE NWOKEDI

The Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Abia State Command, Mr. Vincent Ogu, has called for greater synergy among security operatives in the state.

Mr. Oguh made the call during the 2021 International Civil Defence Organization Day held in Umuahia.

He noted that with strong synergy and effective collaboration amongst security agencies as well as strategic partnership with the civil populace, the country would overcome insecurity challenges bedeviling her.

The NSCDC boss in the state pointed out that security agencies should de-emphasis inter-agency supremacy conflict but collaboratively work to earn the trust and confidence of the people.

Mr. Oguh enjoined Nigerians to join hands with security agencies in the fight against crime and all forms of criminality in the society.

The event featured a display by Agro-Rangers, a unit setup in the corps to tackle farmers-herders crisis that might arise in any parts of the state.
