42 PERSONS IN POLICE NET IN ANAMBRA FOR VIOLATING OVERNIGHT CURFEW

Forty two persons have been arrested by the Police command in Anambra State for violating the curfew imposed by the Federal Government.

In a statement in Awka, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Haruna Muhammed says eight vehicles were also impounded by security operatives enforcing the presidential order.

He explains that the violators had been served with arraignment notice and granted bail.

The statement indicates that the Commissioner of Police , Mr John Abang enjoins the public to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies in order to enhance safety and security in the State.

He however describes as satisfactory the level of compliance with the curfew.

President Muhammadu Buhari had in a broadcast ordered a nationwide curfew from eight o’clock in the evening to six o’clock in the morning as a way of checkmating the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
