40 renounce cultism- UNIZIK
About 40 students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, College of Health Sciences, Okofia Campus renounced cultism weekend renounced their membership of various campus cults.
The spiritual handover of the College of Health Sciences and renunciation of cultism by staff and students which took place in the campus started with an interdenominational service and was followed by praise and worship session.
At the inter-denominational service, the Clergy, Rev Paul Obay in his sermon charged members of the university community on the disadvantages of cultism where he stressed that peer groups or peer pressures are the basic factors responsible for cultism among youths of the society.
He admonished parents to be mindful of the type of companies their wards keep in order not to be lured into evil ways. He also stressed on some of the effects of cultism in the lives of youths especially students.
