15 ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS, OTHERS… PARADED IN ENUGU

The Enugu State Police Command says it is taking drastic measure to restore and sustain peace and security in the State.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr. Ahmed Abdulraham Stated this while parading fifteen armed robbery suspects and other crime suspects including a seventy five year old man accused of defiling an eleven year old secondary school girl.

Parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters Enugu, the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ahmed Abdulraham said the Command was under a specific instructions from the Inspector General of Police to restore the past security glory of the State.

Those paraded were armed robbery suspects, car snatchers, burglary suspects, murder suspects and other.

The Commissioner warned that the Command was expanding its intelligence gathering across the State and warned criminals to turn a new leaf as there was no hiding place for them in the area.

On the seventy five year old man who allegedly defiled a secondary school girl, Mr. Abdulraham said men of the Force arrested the suspect based on intelligence report.

Items recovered from the suspects included local made guns, assorted ammunitions, cars, motorcycle.

The suspect according to the Police will be arraigned after investigations.
