EBONYI TAKES DELIVERY OF 46,090 DOSES OF COVID-19 VACCINE

Enonyi State Government has received forty-six thousand and ninety dozes of Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine as part of efforts to check further spread of the virus in the state.

The State Commissioner for Health in Ebonyi, Dr. Daniel Umezuruike, stated this while taking delivery of the vaccine at Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu.

Dr. Umezuruike explained that Ebonyi was among three states in the South East that got the vaccine from the Federal Ministry of Health.

He noted that the state had put in place necessary cold storage facilities to retain the potency of the vaccine while distribution pattern had been rolled out to include frontline health workers, the elderly, those with cold morbidity and strategic leaders to encourage members of the society that the vaccine was safe.
