PRESIDENT BUHARI TOLD TO ACCOMMODATE VIEWS OF OPPOSITION FOR GOOD OF THE NATION

President Muhamadu Buhari has been asked to be magnanimous in victory by accommodating some of the views and policy thrusts of his opposition as he pilots the affairs of the nation in the next four years.

The Chairman Trade Union Congress in Anambra State, Comrade Ifeanyi Okechukwu made the call while speaking with Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Awka.

According to Comrade Okechuku, all the contenders have to take the outcome of the election with the spirit of sportsmanship and join hands with the winner for the good of the nation.

He urged President  Buhari to pay more attention to job-creation , youth empowerment and diversification of  the nation’s economy.

The TUC Chairman noted that if the Federal Government’s agricultural policies and programmes were implemented holistically, it would no doubt help the nation to reduce its over dependence on oil.

The Labour leader also appealed to private companies and corporate bodies to reduce the rate at which they fire workers but instead to improve on remuneration which in turn would motivate staff to put in their best for the overall growth of the economy.
