CREATIVE ARTISTS CANVASS FOR MORE SUPPORT AS ODIAKOSA LAUNCHES THE BOOK: “LIBATIONS FOR NIGERIA”

Some Nigerian creative artists have called for a change of attitude among the people to contribute meaningfully to social-economic development and nation building.

They made the call in a Book entitled “Libations for Nigeria” and a Music Album “Mind Shift” launched in Sam Nwaneri Event Centre, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Enugu National Station.

In the book, which can be described as an intense creative work of 67 poems, the creative artists noted the need for a better Nigeria devoid of religious and ethnic differences.

The Reviewer of the 120 paged book and music album of six tracks, Director of Mature Program, Enugu State University of Science and Technology represented by Dr. Emma Esom; and an artist, Drakare Abaa, observed that the book was a reflection of the voice of Nigerians.

In a remark, the Zonal Director, FRCN, Enugu National Station,

Mr. Ike Okere, while commending the author’s initiative and idea, emphasised that creative arts add value to positive driven society.

Two members of Nigerian Arts Association, Mr. Ifeanyi Nwanne and Comrade Zulu Oforelue, while unveiling the book observed that the title was apt and they called for more support to the development of literary works.

The author of the Book and Project Director “Naija do Good,” Mr. Gregory Odiakosa, said his motivation was built on the need to rekindle love for patriotism.

The event, which featured songs by young artists, had people from all walks of life in attendance.
