BUDGET BREAKDOWN: ENUGU STATE GOVT. PROMISES SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

The Enugu State Government says it is committed to the sustainable growth of the state economy and taking positive transformation to all areas.

The Commissioner for Finance, Mrs. Eucharia Offor stated this during a press briefing on the breakdown of the 2019 Budget of the state.

Mrs. Offor explained that the budget of over 109 billion naira had recurrent expenditure of more than 38 billion naira personnel cost , over 20 billion naira overhead cost and more than 6 billion naira subventions to parastatals and tertiary institutions.

She further stated that capital receipts of about 43 billion naira would be realized through transfer from consolidated Revenue fund, Aids and Grants, Public Private Partnership, Domestic Loans/ Borrowing Receipts and International loans/Borrowing Receipts.

According to the budget breakdown the highest sectorial allocation is the Economic sector with over 24 billion naira while the Regional sector has the least allocation with 380 thousand naira.
